Welcome to Alyson Hannigan Network, your online resource for all things featuring the talented and funny actress, Alyson Hannigan.
You may recognize Alyson from the "American Pie" movies or from the hit television series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Here you can find the latest information and news regarding Alyson's projects, the latest images and media available.
Currently, Alyson can be seen every Monday night as one of the stars on the CBS show, "How I met your mother" as Lily Aldrin.
Two years after an historic fundraising telecast and the start of a groundbreaking grassroots movement, Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) will return to primetime television on September 10, 2010, at 8PM EST & PST / 7PM CT, with a star-studded appeal to build continuing public support and donations for cutting-edge cancer research that translates at a rapid pace from the laboratory to treatments and technologies that benefit patients.
The telethon will feature appearances from celebrity moms Reese Witherspoon, Cindy Crawford, Alison Sweeney, Alyson Hannigan, and Christina Applegate, who is pregnant and survived breast cancer.
After welcoming their first daughter Satyana last March, Alyson and Alexis have made a picture-perfect family in LA, where they’re frequently spotted on family outings (cue the “aww,” add some points). Alyson’s TV career has kept her working steadily on the hit show How I Met Your Mother, but Alexis’ work life is less stable: He’s been off the map since appearing in a few episodes of Dollhouse last year.
Question: Alyson Hannigan tweeted that she just recorded a role for The Simpsons. Got deets? Is this How I Met Your Mother-related? —Jenny
Ausiello: Nope. When Lisa’s substitute music teacher becomes the latest object of Skinner’s affection, the prince sets up Bart as a distraction for her zany daughter — Hannigan. The episode — titled “Flaming Moe” because the A-plot involves the barkeep and Smithers turning the local pub into a gay bar for non-hunks — will air in January 2011
Alyson Hannigan will be on The Ellen Degeneres Show tomorrow!
It’s time for another hysterical round of Ellen‘s popular game, Su-Move It, Move It!
Two audience members will battle it out in sumo suits for one huge prize!
The very funny ALYSON HANNIGAN is stopping by with the latest on her hit show, “How I Met Your Mother.” Speaking of mothers, she’s bringing an update on her adorable daughter, who just celebrated her first birthday!
Alyson Hannigan said on her twitter that she just gave voice to one character on The Simpsons! She didn’t explained if she played herself or another character. It seems we just have to wait and see!
From Alyson Hannigan Network and me, I would like to wish Alyson a very happy 36th birthday! And I’d like to wish to her lovely baby girl Satyana a happy 1st birthday!
We hope your day will be full of happiness and laughters! Happy birthday, Alyson and Satyana!

It’s time to suit up: How I Met Your Mother has been renewed for Season 6, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Now that Mother has been picked up, executive producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas will soon be pulling double duty. On Monday, the network announced that the creators reupped their contract, along with developing a new series for CBS.
After a slow start, Mother‘s ratings have grown; it posted a season high in its last outing with 10.52 million viewers.
They’re remaining tight-lipped about who Ted’s wife is, but the cast of How I Met Your Mother can’t keep quiet about a cause close to their hearts.
The show’s stars — Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris,Alyson Hannigan and Josh Radnor — have partnered with the T.J. Martell Foundation in a newly-released public service announcement, urging viewers to send a $5 text message donation to help find a cure for cancer.
“We’ve all got friends and family who have been affected by cancer, and we’ve got to find a cure,” says Smulders, who plays Robin, in the video.
The PSA hits home with many of the actors, including Harris, who told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres of his manager’s struggle with cancer in 2008.
“We’ve been together 22 years,” he says. “To watch someone go through that, it’s so bizarre to see how many terrible steps there are in that process.”
The T.J. Martell Foundation, founded in 1975, was named after a high school student who lost his battle with leukemia.
Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert have also volunteered for the group.
To donate $5 for the fight against cancer, text TJ to 90999. The one-time donation will be added to your monthly phone bill. For more information, visit the T.J. Martell Foundation’s Web site.
AusielloFiles posted a “How I Met Your Mother” spoiler:
Question: What do I have to do to get some How I Met Your Mother scoop around here? —Hannah
Ausiello: You have to simmah down nah and keep reading. Golden Globe nominee Neil Patrick Harris tells me that the musical number at the end of the 100th episode on Jan. 11 will demand repeat viewings. “There were so many great little things that we were able to put into each shot,” he says. “The song [titled "Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit"] happens so quickly that I think you’ll go back and go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, those mannequins in the background are actually humans that are moving.’ There are going to be a lot of those little things.”
Question: Please tell me it’s not really the end for Barney and Robin on How I Met Your Mother! —Daphne
Ausiello: Neil Patrick Harris isn’t convinced it is. “I think there are still feelings there,” he says. “I don’t know that it’s done.” Regardless, the romance — which he says was “supposed to be two, maybe three episodes and it turned into seven” — served its purpose in that it humanized Barney. “At a certain point when you see someone who is just abhorrent week in and week out with his sexual conquests it’s nice to figure out what the Kryptonite is there,” he says. “Otherwise, [he] becomes a one-trick pony. So I’m glad that they fleshed him out a little bit. I also got to work with Cobie in a more serious nature. It was fun to do actual scenes with her as opposed to just being jokey.” What now? Does Barney just revert back to being a one-dimensional cad? “There’s no way to not go back to where he was pre-Robin,” he maintains. “That’s Barney Stinson in a nutshell. He suppresses all actual emotion and just plants his seed wherever he goes. Can I say that in EW? I meant it in a dirty way.” Actually, you can’t. I’ll let this one slide.
Alyson Hannigan had previosuly sat down for an exclusive interview with Celebrity Baby Scoop and dished about her home birth, the significance of Satyana’s name and birth date, how fatherhood has been for hubby Alexis Denisof and the funny story behind those adorable kangaroo Halloween costumes, and she also talked a bit about Sarah (Michelle Gellar):
CBS: Are you and Sarah Michelle Gellar still in touch? Have you met baby Charlotte?
AH: “I sent her a card congratulating her on her pregnancy and she wrote me back, but I’ve not met Charlotte. I’m so happy for her.”
